PRD: Hour Tracking for Project Participants
## Problem Project managers in EquilibriuM can assign tasks and set timelines, but there is no built-in way for team members to log hours against those tasks. Teams resort to external spreadsheets or separate timesheet tools, which fragments the workflow and makes billing inaccurate. ## Proposed Solution Integrate lightweight hour tracking directly into the project workspace, so each participant can log time against their assigned tasks without leaving EquilibriuM. ### Key Requirements 1. **Time entry per task** — Each task card gets a "Log Hours" button. Entry captures: date, hours (decimal), optional comment. 2. **Weekly timesheet view** — A per-user weekly grid showing all assigned tasks across projects, with editable hour cells. 3. **PM dashboard** — Project managers see a rolled-up view: total logged vs. budgeted hours per task and per project. 4. **Billable toggle** — Each entry can be marked billable or non-billable. PM can export billable hours for invoicing. 5. **Approval flow** — Optional: PM can approve/reject timesheet submissions before they lock. ### Data Model (proposed) - Reuse the existing `TSTimeEntry` / `TSTimesheet` / `TSProject` entities from the PenTools timesheet module — they already model this exactly. - Add a `project_id` link on EquilibriuM tasks that maps to the TSProject. ### Out of Scope - Automated invoicing integration (Phase 2 — will use Simplbooks connector) - GPS / location-based clock-in ## Success Metrics - 80% of pilot teams stop using external timesheets within 2 weeks - PM reporting accuracy improves (measured by billing reconciliation)

Perfect. The approval flow is critical for us — our clients need to sign off on hours before we can invoice. Glad to hear it's part of the initial build, not deferred.
Excellent PRD, Robin. We're already building this — the existing TSTimeEntry / TSTimesheet model from the PenTools timesheet module covers exactly what you described. First working prototype is expected next week. The approval flow is part of the initial build.
